Country Garden - Kent

An area situated near a Walled Garden. Hylotelephium highlighting tones given off by the flint stonework behind. A sun trap with a seating area adjacent for alfresco dining in the summer sun, this border enhances the experience. A photo taken before a slight re-jig in Autumn where the Hylotelephium's and Asters were divided and re-ordered accordingly.

COUNTRY PARK MASTERPLAN

A Masterplan which was created for a local country park. The park is used regularly by the all types of users from the surrounding areas, meaning a large amount of stakeholders involved. The overall design had to take into account all stakeholders and ensure the new design met all requirements and needs of all.

PLANTING PLAN

Planting plans are drawings which  specify proposed planting. the drawing will contain specifications such as their location, plant variety, plant numbers, costing and pot sizes. Creating a garden or landscape must include planting, not only to provide interest and enjoyment from the users but also to promote habitats and to mitigate climate change.

TECHNICAL DRAWINGS

These raised planters not only create seating areas for the public whom may need a rest whilst walking around the site, they also create interest. Technical details are an essential drawing document when hard landscaping structures are to be built, especially on bespoke items. They show in detail to a contractor how the structures are to be built to ensure no confusion.

MODEL MAKING

Model making is essential is the progression to space resolution. This Country Park design had a linear space which needed a high amount of space resolving, something which model making was invaluable in. These raised planter are made from Hemp-crete a fully sustainable material, adhering to the overall design concept.
